Renowned singer Alka Yagnik has been named the most-streamed artist on YouTube in 2022, surpassing popular acts such as BTS and Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny.
According to Guinness World Records, Alka received a total of 15.3 billion streams on YouTube in 2022, with an estimated 42 million streams per day. This achievement has earned her the top spot in the global rankings for 2022.
Alka has held strong in this position for the past three years, receiving 16.6 billion streams in 2020 and 17.7 billion streams in 2021.
She has also outstripped K-pop sensations BTS and Blackpink, who made it to the top 10 most-streamed artists list with 7.95 billion and 7.03 billion streams respectively. Other artists on the list include The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, and more.
Alka Yagnik has had a long and illustrious career, having recorded over 20,000 songs in the span of four decades. She recently topped the Insights list of top global artists in January 2023, as well as the YouTube Music Charts.
