Imran Khan Ex PM breathes fire at Punjab appointee

Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, has announced countrywide protests starting today in response to the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) appointment of Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi as the caretaker chief minister of Punjab. Imran Khan has called Naqvi "an enemy of PTI" and claims he is "very close" to Asif Zardari and was part of a team involved in a "regime change operation". Imran also alleges that Naqvi has a "chequered history" and was "actively conspiring" against the PTI government when it was in power.

The PTI chairman has accused the ECP of deliberately choosing Naqvi to target his party and has criticized the Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja as "biased and partial". Imran Khan believes that the appointment of a caretaker chief minister should be a neutral individual with an impeccable reputation and that the opposition's proposal of "loyal men" does not result in a fair election environment.

Imran Khan has also announced that the PTI will approach the superior courts against Naqvi's appointment and the lack of announcement of election dates in the provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). He has urged the people to come out and protest the ECP's decision peacefully.

PTI senior leader Azam Swati has called Naqvi a "certified criminal" and addressed the media outside Imran Khan's residence, claiming that all the institutions in the country have become "dysfunctional". He has called on the army chief General Asim Munir to make history by holding the armed forces accountable to the law and the Constitution.

In conclusion, Imran Khan and the PTI are firmly opposing the appointment of Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi as the caretaker chief minister of Punjab and will be staging protests across the country. They believe that the appointment should be a neutral individual and that the current institutions are not functioning properly. They are also seeking legal action and calling on the people to protest peacefully.
