The administration of Islamabad, the federal capital, has declared a local holiday for Monday, January 30th. This announcement was made in a notification issued by the District Magistrate, Irfan Nawaz Memon.
As a result of this holiday, all public and private educational institutions will be closed, and offices will also be shut down for the day. However, it should be noted that essential services such as hospitals, police, and utility companies will remain open and functioning.
The reason for the holiday is the visit of United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Islamabad. He is visiting the capital at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The UAE President, who was recently in Pakistan on a private visit, will arrive in the capital with his family members.
During his visit, President Al Nahyan will be treated as a state guest and will receive a gun salute at Noor Khan Airbase and a Guard of Honour at the Prime Minister's House. This visit is an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
